Freddie Prinze Jr. appears as Donny Crane in three episodes of Boston Legal in Seasons 1 and 2 of the series. Freddie, the son of late comedian/actor Freddie Prinze, Sr. who starred on the 1970s NBC-TV sitcom series Chico and the Man He rose to fame during the late 1990s and early 2000s, after starring in several Hollywood films aimed at teenage audiences, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and its sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), as well as She's All That (1999), Summer Catch (2001), Scooby-Doo (2002) Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) and Delgo (2008). Prinze has also had acting roles in television shows, including Friends, Freddie and 24, where he played the role of Cole Ortiz during Season 8 of the series.

Biography[]

Prinze was born on March 8, 1976 in Los Angeles, California to comedian/actor Freddie Prinze (1954-1977) and Kathy Prinze. When he was ten months old, his father committed suicide; he was subsequently raised by his mother and grandmother.

After living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he attended and graduated from high school, he returned to Los Angeles to focus on his acting career.

In 2002, Prinze married Sarah Michelle Prinze (née Gellar), famous for her role as Buffy Summers on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." The pair had met on the set of the 1997 slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer. The couple have two children, a daughter named Charlotte Prinze, who was born in September 2009 and a son named Rocky James Prinze, who was born in September 2012.
